Featured on CP & S

I decided to submit my Babycakes Shower that I threw in January to a few party sites because it is any easy and fun theme to throw together so I thought it might be worth sharing. Today my girl Shannon over at Creative Parties and Showers featured the shower. Thanks Shannon!

I've featured CP & S on this blog before, but it is worth retelling that if you have a fabulous party you'd like to share with others or if you are just looking for party inspiration, it is a party must. Shannon has used a lot of my pictures for the buttons on her site, which I just love! You might see a few cuties that might look familiar. =)

One of my favorite (and very repeat) clients Beth submitted the baby shower she threw for her friends...now she's thinking of becoming a party planner herself! Beckett's lil' monkey party was also featured a while back. If you are a PD&P reader and gave me a shout out on something you made yourself that was inspired by PD&P a big thank you to you as well!

Head on over to Creative Parties and Showers and check out hundreds of ideas for your next party!

Creative Parties & Showers

I don't know if you've noticed it, but there is a button on my sidebar that says:
Creative Parties & Showers
*submit your party to be featured!*
This cool site is run by my FAV blog designer Shannon Dow of Eightcrazy Design. She is the one responsible for the major facelift given to this blog a couple of months ago.

Her and I became quick friends because she was a super party planner herself and shares a ton of the same interests as I do (not to mention she is a night owl, so chatting on gmail at all hours of the morning has been involved). Shortly after she finished my blog makeover she told me that she was in the process of making a new blog called Creative Parties and Showers. I am not sure where she finds the time to do one more thing, but I am sooooo glad she does!

Even though Shannon has only been blogging on this site since the end of March, there are already enough parties featured to last you literally HOURS searching through her posts. From cars to flowers & from Fancy Nancy to Dr. Seuss she's got you covered!

Today she's doing a feature on Beckett's Monkey Party that I threw last September. Head on over to find out how to submit your own party to be featured or simply to become inspired by all the creative posts she's featured. Thanks Shannon!

Don't forget that you must enter the contest for a $25 gift certificate by midnight tonight! See details here! I'll announce the winner tomorrow morning!

Peppers and Pollywogs

My "Meet the Designers" will start tomorrow...I am giving them an extra day so that I can tell you about a wonderful party planning site called Peppers and Pollywogs. Ever been there? If not, you need to go!
Peppers and Pollywogs
Lisa Kothari has spent the last 10 years organizing hundreds of parties for children of different ages using a vast array of inventive themes, in Washington D.C., New York City, and Seattle. Her main party planning belief is that no matter the budget or amount of time a parent has, an incredible party can always be thrown, keeping children cheerful and parents stress-free during their wonderfully planned celebration!

Last week Lisa posted my Little Miss Birthday entry that was featured on Hostess With The Mostess and asked me if I would be a guest blogger for her on Peppers and Pollywogs. I gladly accepted! So yesterday she featured my post "Choosing a Theme...Early!" on why picking a theme for your child's party early can be a money saver and stress reliever.

Make sure to check it out as well as all of Lisa's other great ideas, posts, and services. I just need to warn you that you could honestly spend hours over there, so be prepared!

I am also sponsoring a give-away on Peppers and Pollywogs...more details coming soon!

Little Miss Ave Spotted On HWTM...

Well, I'm back from my mini vacay to my parents house. I got those pics taken of all the fab new clothes my girls and I have put together to match my partyware (492 pics to be exact...HUGE thank you to my friend Darcie for taking the pics and Adam for all his help) and can't WAIT to get them back and share them with you!

The best part about coming home was that Jenn from Hostess With The Mostess had an email waiting for me that said the post about Avery's birthday party that I had sent in a while ago was going to be up today!

If you are a long-time reader, you've already seen these pics, but she does such a great job of putting them together and making them look fab. Thanks, Jenn! Even if you've seen them, go on over and check it out!

PD & P spotted on Etsy's front page!

I just wish it had been spotted by me! Thanks Sally, for telling me it was up...too bad I didn't see it. In fact, I didn't even know what had been up or if had even been on the main showcase...but when I checked my "Who hearts this shop" I had 30 new hearts today and figured something was up! After a little investigation (thanks, Rachel *golden*!) we were able to locate this:
This is the first time I was there (that I know of!), but hopefully not the last!

OMG...WHAT A SURPRISE!

I was just in the middle of writing a different post, which I will publish later today, but was so excited when I got an email from my friend Julie from OTDC... she wanted to let me know that some of my party decor was featured on The Hostess With the Mostess. I LOVE this site...the only thing I hate about it is that I don't have enough time to go on it as much as I'd like.

I first heard about HWTM when my sister in law Lindsey was looking for ideas for her daughter Addie's party. If you remember they did the Candyland theme that son of The Bachelorette's stars Trista and Ryan Sutter had for his 1st birthday bash. Ever since then I've had a slight obsession with the site.

So to hear this morning that Michelle, one of my clients, had her party featured, I was ecstatic! It was this circus theme for 1 year old Darrian that I did earlier in the summer. There are a bunch of other great Etsy sellers she used that are featured, too! Go check it out!
