A delayed thank you...

Can we just pretend this is a month ago as planned? Okay...that's my first thank you. Thank you for pretending. =)

Photobucket
Many thanks to everyone who helped made Tracie's shower so lovely. Most of the decor {banner, cupcake toppers, sign, you know, the usual} I made myself, but there a couple other thank yous to send as well...here is the linked list in case you want to get a hold of any of the goods for your own party!

{bib, onesie, and blanket} *golden*
{poms} PomLove
{mini nests, tree tag holders on the food table} beaucoup
{custom birdie stickers} Sticker You
{paper products} Plates & Napkins
{Are You My Mother? used a guest book} Barnes & Noble

I have had two emails about how to make the canvas I made that matched the decor...leave a comment if you want me to do a DIY tutorial on the blog. They can be used for any party theme or even just in your child's room. Tracie saved hers for the baby's room.

Speaking of that baby...

They are all adjusting wonderfully and are such a cute little fam.
Mom is already back in her skinny clothes. Puke me.

Excuse me...what I meant to say is that I am so happy for her! =)

And in other news, school's finally out here, which means I am free to roam about the country and blog as I wish!

Teaching them to be thankful...

Now that Tate is six, I thought it was important that he wrote his own thank yous for his parties. He needs practice writing and I want him to really be appreciative for all he has. Turns out this year that wouldn't be hard, because he honestly LOVED every gift. It kind of cracked me up actually how he kept saying he got everything he wanted and that he has such an awesome family.

I did a little redesign before his party to my thank yous...I personalized them with his name and made them easy for him to fill in. It only took him two sittings to get them done, which was fairly painless!

I made similar thank yous for T's best friend's party as well, so stay tuned for those and the rest of his dino party goods later this week!

Malin's Little Birdie...

The momma of this one year old did her research. When she emailed me she had carefully studied my blog and linked her favorite projects that I have done and stated what she liked about each one. Some she liked the colors, others the fonts, others the style of the invitations, etc. So after matching the design and the paper to her vision, here is the result of Malin's little birdie party, scheduled to take place this weekend...

It just so happens that Malin's dad's birthday is the same day, so we had to add his name to the banner and make him his very own crown too! I hope he likes pink! :)

I love doing orders for MN people. Not that I DON'T like doing orders for people in other states, but it somehow makes it more personal or real that I can imagine the neighborhood that they are celebrating in. Is that weird? Probably.

Back tomorrow with another happy customer!

Ellen's Cupcake Party

Some of you have asked why I can keep blogging about custom parties if I am no longer doing them. Well, a couple of reasons.

1) I haven't even finished blogging about all of the parties I did in November before I stopped doing customs.

2) I didn't completely stop doing custom orders, but now I am doing it just mainly for people I know. AND a couple other projects to come (big ones...wink, wink).

SO...that said, here is a cupcake party I did for a friend of a friend in December. Cyndy, Ellen's mom, was pretty open to anything, but she was having red velvet cupcakes at the party and said that maybe that could be the basis for her theme. Here is the outcome:

**The Invitations**
**The Banner****The Crown and Hats**
**The Cupcake Toppers**
**The Door Sign**
**The Thank Yous**

It seemed as though I had "one" happy client in the end...
Thanks Kel, for sending them my way!

New for the PDCfG!

Now that I have added the POLKADOT COLLECTION for BOYS, we distinguish around here by PDCfG (POLKADOT COLLECTION for GIRLS) and PDCfB (for BOYS). I am actually working on becoming the acronym queen which drives my husband cuckoo. He HATES them. He actually gets so mad that he yells "OBGYN" every time I use one, because that's the only acronym he knows that he thinks will embarrass me. What a nerd!

So anyway, along with the new collection came a bunch of things that people had asked for along the way that I decided to work into the PDCfB. But that meant that I better design the same things for the girls line, too! So here they are...
**Tutu****Custom Invitations****Custom Thank Yous****High Chair Bunting**
**Bib**
(bib found at Golden)**Smash Cake Topper****Favor Bag Toppers****Cake Plate Ribbons**

There are a few more things for each collection on its way...and I'm ALWAYS open to more suggestions of things you'd like to see, so shoot them my way! All of the things listed here are now available in my shop.

Sorry this blog is a day late...there are some AMAZINGLY exciting things on the horizon here at PD&P...hoping to be able to share news soon. :) Have a great weekend...be back Monday!
